I am a professional photographer dedicated to weddings, and older studies ([...]). I worked as a studio with my uncle from age 6, but I never had a camera of my own. I bought this camera because of its resolution, ISO and video functions. It also has two good (not very) slow, two batteries and the bag, a very complete kit from Amazon. I am very happy with my purchase.
We always Nikon users, and this is the first Canon with us. There is great color and imageQuality. The only thing that brought me to this kind of equilibrium position is the key, but that's because I have the Nikon D200 and D100 cameras was used.

I keep the new lookCameras, but not all, would prefer that I have not seen my Lumix.

This is a great review from Amazon for the black version of the combo NEX-3-18-55mm written, so that in the interest of other Amazon users will try not to repeat everything already written.

Keep in mind that this review is written by an experienced DSLR users, who can have this room that I do not find Particularly attractive, however, are acceptable for many users point-and-shoots.

The first thing you'll notice the NEX-3, is that it seemsfeeling of solidity. The 18-55 lens is usually made of metal, while the laser plastic body with rubber coated handle. The camera feels in your hand is hard, but surprisingly diminutive. My first gripe with the camera's memory stick their owners. Designed for both SD and Memory Stick socket, there is a sort of internal adapter snaps down the sticks as take them farther into the camera. The adapter feels a bit 'fragile. Most Sony digital SLRs have requested slots for SD cards and Memory.

2) the camera body: LargeStyling, compact, rotating 3-inch LCD with incredible contrast. The LCD high-resolution, we know almost everything a user point-and-shoot needs, and much more.

3) Image quality: I can not stress enough the pictures are simply sublime. At ISO 200-1600, the colors are rich and expressive, with very little noise even at the pixel level. 3200-12800 units if you need that extra sensitivity.

4) Speed: Max on 7fps, normal to 2.3 fps (withcontinuous focus).

5) The Panorama function is smoother than the Sony, but still compressed side effects such as distortion, etc. is probably not a problem if you are with the pictures for small prints.

6) The external flash is included, but unnecessary for most occasions such as the camera sensor handles low light, so good not to lose the flash at all.

7) The stereo microphone is almost invisible to the camera, but works in the collection720p stereo sound for the recordings.

8) E 'on-line virtual PSAM shuttle speed, the aperture size and the combination thereof, including the control bulb mode. There are some ways to get the dial, but mainly to be different menus.

9) The graphical user interface (GUI) is getting used to.
